Murphy Rakes In Over $750,000 During Second Quarter
Dist. 18 Congressman reports nearly $2.7 million war chest
The Murphy for Congress campaign announced it has nearly $2.7 million cash on hand after raising over $750,000 in the second quarter of 2014. These impressive figures are unheard of in House races, cementing Murphy’s record as one of the top fundraisers in the nation.
“The tremendous amount of support I have received over the past 18 months has been truly remarkable and, above all, humbling,” commented Murphy. “It is a testament to the community’s commitment to problem solving over partisanship to get things done for the Treasure Coast and Palm Beaches, the state of Florida, and our nation.”
“Due to the overwhelming support for Patrick’s independent leadership in Congress and hands-on approach in the district, we were able to not only surpass our previous records, but also make a significant statement about the momentum our campaign has,” said Murphy for Congress finance director Mandi Karp.
“Over the past few months, Patrick has continued to receive unheard-of grassroots support,” said Murphy for Congress campaign manager Anthony Kusich. “From hundreds of volunteers and supporters coming out to campaign kickoff events, making calls, and going door-to-door six months out from the election, it is clear that his commitment to rolling up his sleeves and getting things done is the kind of representation and leadership the people of Florida’s 18th Congressional District want to see continue on their behalf.”News, Patrick Murphy, Press
